AllMeds, EHRs Experiencing Record Year

12/01/2011 - AllMeds Inc. released figures showing record-setting growth in both customer- and revenue-gains of over 39% compared to 2010’s performance.  The numbers continue a trend experienced by the specialty-specific EHR vendor over the last five years.  Federal incentive programs are doing their job, spurring interest and adoption at a pace we’ve never seen before.  Physicians who’ve been sitting on the sidelines now see both value and opportunity and are getting in the game.

As the federal EHR incentive programs (aka “HITECH”) have come on-line, many physicians who originally viewed them with skepticism have seen their value: Not only will incentive payments pay for (most) EHR solutions, but payment checks – to the tune of over $105 million to physicians alone – have been arriving in mailboxes for nearly nine months.

AllMeds reports similar performance among their user-base, which boasts more ENT physicians and practices than any other EHR vendor in the country.  Indeed, to meet their growing customer-base and healthy sales-pipeline, AllMeds is in full expansion-mode, with a staff that is 22% larger today than in 2010 (and still hiring) and plans for office expansion early next year.

AllMeds’ growth accompanies a statistic that is striking in an industry known for failed implementations and dissatisfied customers: since AllMeds developed their first EHR in 1997, the company has maintained an industry-high 91% lifetime customer retention rate.  That’s the number about which we’re most proudt.  At one time, this industry had a failure rate of nearly 50%!  But, because of the specialty-specific nature of our EHR and our implementation, training and support staffs, AllMeds’ success rate across nearly 15 years of service is unmatched by any other EHR. It really is an amazing success story.

A great deal of effort was spent to make AllMeds’ the most incentives-friendly EHR on the market.  From our customized HITECH training and monitoring services to a dashboard that’s the most intuitive, accurate and helpful in the industry, our customers are finding it much easier to meet incentive requirements than they thought it would be.  And, many of them have already paid for their EHRs with incentives alone and that’s very gratifying to see.

Over $30 billion have been dedicated to moving the country’s healthcare IT environment from paper to electronic format.  As HITECH’s first year winds down and its second gears up, the program’s impact is obvious, as record numbers of ENTs have become first-time EHR users.  And, along with the program, payments continue to find their way to physicians and practices across the country.  Show me the money,” has been the skeptics’ traditional response to federal promises.  With HITECH and EHR incentives, however, it seems they’ve finally done it right.
